ARTIST STATEMENT
I start with an empty screen and a bursting soul.Together we venture forth, soul and I, to see what we can discover about each other. If we are successful in that journey, then the viewer too will be inspired to make a voyage of discovery.
Where others work clay, or carve marble, I use zeros and ones, shown as phosphorescent electrons on a monitor, to create ephemeral forms that are later fabricated into solid sculptures. My digital creations are thus reborn into aluminum, stainless steel, and bronze, a transmigration from the digitized to the sculptured.
The computer is my obsession, my passion, and my intense joy.
